The Online Iconoclast
Bobby Axelson Ubi dubium, ibi libertas... where there is doubt there is freedom.
A native San Franciscan (Fifty-one years is too long to spend in one place!) is now living in Fabulous Las Vegas! Now, who'd have thought that would have happend? Certainly not me... but recovery brings change and I am willing... how about that? There is progress, even approaching senility!
This is the beginning of what I hope will become my experience, strength and hope on the net. If you have experiences of your own to share with me, please email me and we can discuss Proust or who and what *we* are all about, until then, enjoy this beginning and keep coming back; things change, and so will this!

In the beginning...
Iconoclast? What the hell is that, I hear you mutter. Well, like most folks I have met in my life, I am just a little el differente.

I am not your average bear, as it were. I am, probably, not unique either, but I certainly am *me*. It took some time to come to that realization; trying to fit in when one is different.

My "story" begins in Modesto, California on the Ides of October, 1947 where I was born... Mom was living with my grandfather and great grandmother, having been abandoned by my biofather (whomever he may be... I know his name, but I have never tried to, nor had an interest in contacting him, but, that's an entirely different ball of wax, now isn't it?). She met my father (who adopted me and gave me his name and a wonderful childhood and home and education.)

The remaining story is in the word processor and my mind... and on an old site I have not had the time to transfer here... I have moved to Las Vegas on May 1st, 1999... as a result, this is just the startup of what I hope will become a central place for information about me and my interests... recovery and life are a process and today I can recognize that I have the talent and ability to make a difference for myself and that my example, experience and hope may be able to help or even inspire someone else, whose journey has found me and the same kinds of problems, challenges and gifts of this life.

Glad you had the time to visit, please come back when there is more here to see. Thanks for taking the time to read even this far.
